NEW: READ THE NEWSLETTER IN KOREAN 🇰🇷

Dear SDV Community,

2026 is the year of "Releasing a Platform" for Eclipse SDV. And as we approach the end of the year, we are getting ready to turn this ambition into reality.
On December 2, our community will come together in two places at the same time: at the Eclipse SDV Community Days in Munich, Germany, and at our second Eclipse SDV Community Meetup in Seoul, South Korea. Two events, thousands of kilometres apart, but united by one major milestone: the announcement of the Eclipse S-CORE 1.0 release.

This is much more than another software release. It represents collaboration across companies, industries, and continents, turning the vision of a shared, open source automotive software foundation into something tangible. And it demonstrates what our global community can achieve when we collaborate rather than reinvent the wheel.

But perhaps the most exciting part is that 1.0 is not the finish line. It is the starting line. In Munich and Seoul, we will not only celebrate what has been achieved but also discuss what comes next. New capabilities, new ideas, and new opportunities to build on the foundation we have created together.

And that is where things get really interesting. After all, the true success of open source is not measured by the code we release, but by the value it creates when people start using it. As we look toward 2027, our focus will increasingly shift from what we build together to what the industry can achieve with it.

Speaking of our global community, I am also delighted that our newsletter is now available in English, Japanese, and Korean. It is another small but important step toward making Eclipse SDV a truly global ecosystem where everyone can participate.

Enjoy reading, and I hope to see many of you in Munich or Seoul this December!
